If you want something cozy, creamy, and caffeine-free that still feels indulgent… rooibos is the move. Think latte energy, but softer, smoother, and way more chill.

What You’ll Need :

  • 1–2 tsp loose leaf Mondepice rooibos

  • 1 cup hot water

  • ½ cup milk (dairy or plant-based)

Optional: honey, maple syrup, or vanilla

Step 1: Brew It Strong

Rooibos is forgiving but for a latte, you want it rich.

Steep in hot (just off boiling) water for 5–7 minutes. You’re looking for a deep amber-red color and a full-bodied base.

Tip: Unlike black tea, rooibos doesn’t get bitter. You can steep it longer if you want more intensity.

Step 2: Heat & Froth Your Milk

Warm your milk gently (don’t boil).

Then froth it:

  • with a milk frother

  • or by shaking it in a jar and reheating

  • or whisking for that homemade vibe

Oat milk = extra creamy / Almond milk = lighter, nutty finish

Step 3: Build Your Latte

  • Strain your rooibos into a cup

  • Add sweetener if you like

  • Pour in your warm milk

  • Finish with foam on top

Simple. Clean. Perfect.

Step 4: Upgrade the Flavor

Want to take it next level?

Try this:

  • Vanilla → soft, dessert-like

  • Cinnamon → cozy and warm

  • Orange zest → bright twist

  • Honey → natural sweetness

Iced Version (Same Energy, Different Mood)

  • Brew your rooibos strong and let it cool

  • Pour over ice

  • Add cold milk

  • Sweeten + shake

It’s giving iced latte, no caffeine crash.

Why It Works

Rooibos has a naturally smooth, slightly sweet profile that blends perfectly with milk.

No bitterness. No acidity.Just a soft, comforting drink you can have anytime, morning, afternoon, or late at night.
